The Delta State Chairman of Pentecostal
Fellowship of Nigerian (PFN), Bishop Kingsley Enakirerhi, has urged Christians
in the country to remain calm and shun fear in the face of the coronavirus
plaguing the world.
Bishop Enakirerhi, who is also the General Overseer of the
Heroes of Faith Ministry in Ughelli, stated this recently while chating with
our correspondent in his office.
He said that Nigeria already had problems worse than
the coronavirus such as bad government, herdsmen killing, and Boko Haram,
saying that God would not allow the coronavirus to compound our problems.
Bishop Enakirerhi said that the Holy Spirit through
the mercy and the love of God in us was watching over the country.
He quarried Christians who were afraid of coronavirus but
not afraid of the coming judgment of God upon the world, saying that fear
brings torment and would not make anyone perfect in the love of God.
The PFN Chairman noted that apart from coronavirus,
death through other means had been in existence since creation of the world and
the fear of death through coronavirus should not force the church to close down
in Nigeria.
"After all, people have been dying of various
sicknesses before now. We should not be afraid of coronavirus but should be of
good cheer, “he said.
He added that as Christians, if we live, we live for
Christ and if we die, we die for Christ, so death should not put us in fear.
Bishop Enakirerhi who described Nigeria is the
headquarters of the gospel in world and also the headquarters of wickedness
urged Christians to keep faith in God for protection and deliverance from any
destructive weapons of the devil.
He attributed the curtailment of the spread of the
disease in the country to handiwork of God, saying that it is a proof that God
is in this country.
Bishop Enakirerhi who also spoke on his coming programme,
"Zion World Festival" with theme, "Believer's Authority"
bared his mind on the power of God and the authority that Christ has given to
Believers, saying that the programmme would help to enlighten Christians on
their authority and what they can do through this authority.
He disclosed that the weeklong event was billed to run
from April 6-12, 2020.
