* Be at duty post at 8a.m., he  tells staff
Delta State’s new Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah resumed duty in his office on Emmanuel Uduaghan Way Wednesday urging staffs of the Ministry to get to know the SMART agenda of the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa administration as it would enable them to properly educate Deltans on the policy thrust and direction of the government.
The Commissioner, who met with the rank and file of the Ministry on his first day in office, urged them to work assiduously towards ensuring the success of the prosperity agenda of the administration.
He acknowledged that there is much job to be done to re-position the Ministry for effective and efficient service delivery. He directed that staffs should jettison the old ways of doing things and embrace the new dawn, stressing that it was mandatory for staff to be at their duty posts at 8 a.m.
While urging the staff to work hard to justify their pay, Ukah charged the Directors and Management Staff to lead by example.
He was conducted round the Ministry by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Jude Aguonye in company of the Directors of the Ministry.
