Forum dismisses attack on Igbuya, Ibori, Osanebi


Delta Progressive Forum (DPF) has urged the Speaker of the Delta state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Monday Igbuya ignore those attempting to smear his name and that of his deputy, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi and the Chairwoman of the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Hon. Erhiatake Ibori.

They also described the report titled “Ibori’s Daughter, Other Delta State Assembly Members Quarrel over DESOPADEC contract” as the personal views of the writers.
The Forum in a statement issued in Asaba by the Coordinator, Delta Progressive Forum (DPF), Chief Mudiaga Okoro expressed support for the transformation agenda of the Igbuya led House of Assembly.
“We are confident that the leadership is, and will commit to, improving governance and continue on a path of socio-economic and geo-political reforms” the statement signed by the Coordinator, Delta Progressive Forum (DPF), Chief Mudiaga Okoro said.
The leaders who accused some individuals in the state of spreading baseless report also reflected on the tasks of maintaining openness and transparency in government.
They expressed surprise at the shallowness of the detractors with regards to procurement procedures of the commission.
“To speculate without the facts can only cause people to form wrong conclusions. The three law makers are serving the people better.” the statement said.
They urged the lawmakers to continue making laws for the good governance of the state and the overall benefit of the people.
“Contrary to the report, the three lawmakers are not quarrelling and have no reason to quarrel. They are also not contractors to DESOPADEC".
The leader who further described the lawmakers as focused in vision and transparent in official conduct, urged them to look away from these destroyers and get on with important matters of state
“In any system, there are always destroyers. The lawmakers should look away from these destroyers and get on with important matters of state, since they are arrogant and reckless individuals pursuing their selfish agenda”.
