Jaunty, Ojeah, Diai extol traditional society, urge support for Obi Ezeagwuna II

The case has been made for the people of Issele-Uku to unflinchingly support the new monarch, Obi Nduka Ezeagwuna II as he commences his reign as the Obi of Issele-Uku.
Speaking at the coronation ground as the Obi received his staff of office from government, former Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government Area, Hon. Jaunty Okwudi said the coronation was significant a people must have a ruler in their community, just as it happened in the Bible when Israel asked for a king and God gave them one.
He advised the people of Issele-Uku recognize and respect the new king by giving him their support to enable him achieve successful ruler ship.
Speaking in the same vein, Prince Ojeah Joseph a security personnel who is also an indigene of Issele-Uku , said the coronation of Obi Ezeagwuna II is a mark of new beginning for the people of Issele-Uku as it is also an indication of God’s mercy to witness the event.
“My message for the people of Issele-Uku is that they should honour the stool and support the obi with all sense of godliness for the progress of the kingdom and its people.”
For Architect Charles Diai, the coronation is a good event. He said: “It is a good event for promoting our culture and showcasing the very essence of who we are as a people, where we came from and where we are going.”
Urging that the traditional institution should be given the pride of place, Diai said the kingship institution is a repository of the people’s culture. If we give it the pride of place in the country, it has the potential of filling the gap where crime has taken over,” he said.

Diai therefore called for a situation in the country that will make development to start from the local governments. “Start Development from the bottom; the local government is the bottom,” he contended.   He urged the people of Issele-Uku to give the kingship its pride of place.
