8 suspected criminal Fulani herdsmen caught in vigilantes’ net

The Chairman of Issele-Uku Vigilante, Mr Nkeadi Obunwa has affirmed the apprehension of eight Fulani herdsmen suspected to be kidnappers in Issele - Uku and environs.

Mr Nkeadi disclosed this to journalists shortly after the combined monthly meeting of all the vigilante groups in Aniocha North at the Unity Hall, Issele-Uku.

He also stated that the group was working in synergy with the police to see that Issele-Uku, and indeed, all community in Aniocha North were rid of any criminal elements and kidnappers.

Mr Nkeadi however called on the state government to come to their aid by providing the necessary working materials and incentives to enable them operate optimally.

He hailed some well-placed individuals of Issele-Uku indigene who have continue to support the operations of the group.

The vigilance helmsman confirmed that all the vigilante groups in Aniocha North had been working together as one family because they had one purpose and mandate to keep the local government safe for the inhabitants.

On the disbanded vigilante group in Onicha -Ugbo, he stated that members were working out modalities to bring back the group to operations without further delay.
