Delta State delegation visits late Ogbemudia's family


 The Delta State Government Monday, 13/03/2017,  paid a condolence visit to the family of the former Military Administrator and Governor of the defunct Bendel State, Late Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia, in Benin city.
The Secretary to State Government (SSG), Hon. Festus Agas, who led the delegation on behalf of the state government, was received by Mr. Samuel Ogbomudia Jnr for the family
Hon. Agas described the late Ogbemudia as a leader who raised the bar in public administration and stated that his records in the area of infrastructural development still speaks volume.
He noted that the standard set by late Ogbemudia-led administration would be a role model to others and said that he would be remembered and honored for his dedication to the development of his people, especially in the field of education and social welfare.
The SSG assured that the state government would participate in the burial ceremony of the late Dr. Ogbemudia in order to give him a befitting burial 
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Nicholas Azinge, said the late Dr. Ogbemudia displayed a veritable track record of achievements in the field of education, sports, infrastructure development and industrial growth.
  Dr. Azinge said that the legacy left by the Ogbemudia administration would continue to be fresh in the minds of many. 
Responding on behalf of the family, Mr. Ogbemudia Jnr thanked the Delta State Government delegation for the show of love and solidarity at this critical period.
Meanwhile, the burial ceremony of the late Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia has been slated for Friday this week.
