governorship candidate in the April 11 election in Nasarawa State, has vowed to
challenge the judgment of State Election Petitions Tribunal.

The tribunal upheld the victory of Gov. Umaru Al-Makura.
``We have already obtained the judgment; we would study it
critically and proceed to the appeal court within the stipulated time.
``I am already consulting with my legal team, supporters and
other political associates on the next line of action,” Maku said on Monday in
Lafia.
He described the judgment as ``judicial endorsement of daylight
robbery and rape on democracy.’’
He said he would not relent in his efforts to reclaim his
mandate until he gets to the last stage of the struggle.
The tribunal had on the Sept. 30, dismissed Maku’s petition for
lack of merit and upheld Al-Makura’s victory. (NAN)
