Cleric says women are ordained help mates to their husbands

A Cleric, Pastor Remi Saliu on Sunday described women as help mates ordained by God to assist their husbands towards realising their destinies.
Pastor Remi Saliu made this known during the Mothers’ Day celebration of the Summit Bible Church, Kubwa Abuja.
Saliu who was the Guest Speaker, while laying emphasis on the Book of Genesis, Chapter one verses one to 28 said that from creation, the woman was made to be a man’s helper.
``Women are suitable and complimentary partners to their husbands. Women are like the Holy Spirit, we have the ministry as helpers,” she explained.
She noted that the assistance of women in all circumstances was needed for men to be able to achieve their goals.
Saliu urged women not to underestimate themselves as they had been bestowed with that role by God.
Speaking on the topic; ``Complete in Him”, the pastor said that ``once we have accepted Jesus as our personal savior, then we are complete in Him.’’
She advised women to be meek, and gentle in order to be exemplary figures in the society.
Earlier, the women leader of the church, Mrs Gladys Udeogu urged women to be fervent in prayers and always support their husbands to ensure the success of their family.
She, however, underscored the role of men in the home, adding that unity should be the binding factor of every marriage.

NAN reports that the second Sunday in May is annually observed as Mothers’ Day to honour mothers, motherhood and their influence in the society. (NAN)
