Afareha is new President Rotary Club of Asaba Govt House

A new President to pilot the affairs of Rotary Club of Government House, Asaba for the 2015/2016 for Rotary International District 9140 has emerged. He is Rotarian Innocent Afareha.

He succeeded his predecessor, Rotarian Hope George, at a colourful installation ceremony on Saturday held at the Squash Club Main Hall, Asaba.

Shortly after his investiture, Afareha congratulated his predecessor for his invaluable achievements during his tenure. He announced that during his tenure, Rotary Club of government House, Asaba plan to undertake the following projects:

·         Provision of borehole with overhead water storage tank at Ugbolu community;

·         Provision of two blocks  of toilets at Anwai Primary School;

·         Provision of two blocks of toilet at Akuebulu Secondary School;

·         Donation of pepper grinding machines to widows;

·         Donation of food stuffs and other items to inmates of Ogwashi-uku Prison;

·         Donation of food stuffs and other items to orphanage homes

·         Provision of N5,000 mosquito nets to pregnant women and new born babies in General Hospital, Asaba;

·         Breast cancer awareness campaign and free screening ;

·          Free random blood sugar and blood pressure test;

·         Vocational training youth empowerment ;

·         Peace and conflict resolution seminar; and

·         Polio awareness campaign.

“We are committed to delivering the above projects this Rotary year,” Afareha said and pleaded for generous donations to enable him and his team to succeed.
