Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State will jet out soon to
the United States of America to attend the United Nations African day organized
by UNIDO.
Governor Okowa |
Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, who made
this known, told journalists at the Press Centre, Government House, Asaba that
at the event, the governor will deliver the key note address, pointing out that
his selection to deliver the address is in recognition of the Delta state’s
Government policy on youth development.
The theme of the African day event is “Women and Youth
Empowerment.”
The obviously excited commissioner said “This is a plus for us
since an international body recognizes the unique policy we have to empower
people and create jobs for the youths, like our YAGEP, STEP and PPSP. These are
programmes designed by this government to empower our youths.”
