The Uvwie Chief who spoke with our correspondent in an exclusive media chat on the unfriendly economic situation and resumption of nursery, primary and secondary schools in the private sector at Otu Jeremi stated that owners of private schools should know that the economy is biting hard on everybody and as such they should have payment plan with parents to enable them pay the school fees of their children in installments.
She however, quickly added that parents and guardians should prepare to make sacrifices for the provision of quality education for their children because the schools also need money to pay their teachers.
“If there is no money and there is no good education for our children, then the society will be in trouble. For education cannot wait. So, parents should plan well for their children within the available resources.
Agbatutu who had earlier advised parents to feed their children properly with balanced diet, also urged parents to endeavour to use their environment  to produce things by  encouraging their children to learn skills such as cooking, planting of  vegetables gardening. “In view of the present economic situation we feel strongly that parents should look inward and avoid waste,” she said.
