The Chairman, Civil Service
Commission Dame Patience Nkem Okwuofu has inaugurated a ten-man Advisory
Consultant Committee, to verify the dates of birth and appointment of Public
Officers into the State Civil Service.
The Committee which has been given
one month to submit her report is at the instance of the State
Government.
While inaugurating the Committee,
Dame Okwuofu, who is also the Chairman, stated that it become necessary due to
incessant reports and petitions received from public officers regarding
discrepancies in the records of some officers in the State.
Terms of reference includes
identification of such officers, investigation and authentication of the dates
of birth and employment of certain public in the State.
Mr. Mattu Tsitse is to serve as
Secretary of the Committee.
